If you ordered data services (Web Basic, Web Unlimited, Web-Pix, and Web-Pix Unlimited) and data does not appear to be working (e.g. you are unable to browse the web), please follow the instructions below:
Data services are provisioned using the “Internet over the air” (IOTA) process, in which information is exchanged over the network between the device and the wireless carrier to activate data services for the device.
Data services can take up to four hours to fully provision. The activation will likely happen within a much shorter time frame, as quickly as ten minutes, but the four hour time window allows for exceptions, such as when the network is experiencing a high volume of traffic or requests.
During this four-hour window: • The phone must be powered on and remain on • Incoming calls will roll to voicemail • You must NOT attempt to make calls or use ANY feature until the data services are provisioned. If the phone is in use or turned off when data services are initiated, the provisioning will fail.
